Spiti valley offers varied stay options depending on your interest and choice of comfort, food, preferences, transportation, etc. it is the same for any remote and tribal places in Himachal Pradesh.
The stay options near Spiti valley may range from Rs 100 at Dhaba tent or shack, Rs 250 to Rs 400 for a low-cost guest house or homestay in Spiti valley, and also Rs 700 to Rs 1500 for medium-cost hotels, Rs 3000 and above for hotels that offer more facilities.
When it comes to Food, it completely depends on what you want to eat. You will get pizza or dal, rice or roti, dal fry, maggie, veg or non-veg food, etc. So the price varies according to each person’s preferences.

Mode of transportation
For a trip, the major cost comes out to be for taxis or fuel. Using public transport is quite risky, because based on their schedule you may require more days to complete the trip. So travelers mostly prefer private taxis or find travel partners and can share the fares with them. You can also choose to rent bikes or cars from Manali.
Self-drive private vehicle ( Bike or car) –
on a road trip from Delhi to Kinnaur to Kaza, you will need to travel about 1600 to 1700 ms for the Spiti valley trip. If your bike has a mileage of about 25 KMPL in hills and plains, then the average cost for fuel will be Rs. 7000. Same for the car also, but in hills, your car will give much lesser mileage than in plains.
Now, food + accommodation + traveling by self-drive mode of transport the total cost will be around Rs. 15100 to 17800. Hence these may vary depending on the number of people in a group and the rate of different vehicles.
Taxi Fare –
the rate for Kinnaur & Spiti valley trips is around Rs, 3800 to 4000 per day. So for a 7 day Spiti valley trip, the price will be Rs. 5000 per person for a taxi, considering a group of five people.
Taxi Drivers –
you can connect some drivers in Spiti valley. the drivers will come and pick you from your point. On the other hand, taxis are available on the spot from Shimla or Manali from Taxi stands.
